Brandon Allen is building an impressive winning streak.
But despite his back-to-back wins in 2022, the fast-rising Tampa, FL fighter admits he still has a bad taste in his mouth from his unsuccessful BKFC debut in 2021.
“I took that fight as a boxing match, and tried to navigate it from a boxing perspective, but BKFC is so much different than boxing,” Allen says.
“This game is touch and don’t be touched. This is a very serious game, and people should approach it as such. You can get clipped easily, and you can’t take that much damage.”
Allen credits his SHIFT MMA coaches and teammates like Jared Warren, David Mundell and Martin “Trey” Brown for much of his success.
He looks to keep the good times rolling as he takes on fellow fast-rising featherweight prospect Trevor Loken (1-0, 1 KO) at BKFC 42 on May 12 in Greenville, SC, LIVE on The BKFC App.
Allen is eager to add a third straight win to his resume in South Carolina – the next step in achieving his lofty goals as a BKFC fighter.
“I just want to keep climbing the ladder, because my goal is to be the champ at 145, 135 and 155,” Allen says.
“I don’t see any more losses coming my way. You have to be a bigger dog than me, because if not it’s going to be a long night – or a short one.”
