James Brown slices & dices his way to 4-1 at BKFC Omaha

April 23, 2025

The North Carolina fighter is becoming known for his gory trips to the Squared Circle

James “Get Down” Brown doesn’t mind painting the BKFC Squared Circle red.

In another blood-soaked, bare knuckle bout on Friday, Brown sliced and diced his way to 4-1 under the BKFC banner with a stomach-churning unanimous decision over the previously unbeaten Ramiro Figueroa at BKFC Fight Night Omaha at the sold-out Astro Theater in Omaha, NE.

“My fight with (Bovar Khanakov) was really bloody too, but not as bloody as this last one. My fight with (Mike Alvarado) was probably just as bloody as Friday’s fight,” Brown offers.

“I don’t mind when the fight gets dirty, but it does get a little annoying because I have to keep wiping my hands off,” he adds. “Blood doesn’t bother me. I guess I don’t think about it.”

Now with five action-packed BKFC fights under his belt, the 31-year-old Wilmington, NC fighter hopes to stay as active as possible in the Squared Circle. Winning is the most important thing, of course, but Brown wants to do more than just win fights.

“At first it was just about chasing the belt, but now it’s about my legacy, and making history. It's still a new sport, and I’m trying to make the history books,” he says.

“Every time I go out there, I’m swinging skin-wrapped bones, trying to take my opponent’s face off every time I land. I want to be BKFC’s razor blade — the guy who changes your face forever.”
