BKFC-38 is headlined by a highly anticipated featherweight clash between Former BKFC Bantamweight World Champion Dat ‘Be Dat’ Nguyen and Two-Time Bellator Featherweight World Champion Daniel Straus.
All tickets originally purchased for the sold-out Friday, March 17 event will be honored at the gate on Friday, April 21. Co-featured in the middleweight division, ‘Brutal’ Jake Bostwick, (2-2), of London, England, battles Isaac ‘The Honey Badger’ Doolittle, (3-1), of Manhattan, Kansas. The all-action Bostwick returns to battle following a second-round knockout of Chris Fishgold on August 20 at BKFC-27 in London. Doolittle looks to re-enter the win column following a hard-fought clash with world title challenger Mike Richman on October 15, 2022 in Denver, CO.
Fighting in the flyweight division, Tyler Randall, (2-1), of Cape Coral, FL, hits the squared circle against Chancey ‘Superfly’ Wilson, (2-2), of Wichita, KS. Randall is coming off a hard-fought loss to Cary Caprio on June 24, 2022 at BKFC-26. Wilson also seeks a return to his winning ways after a hotly contested decision to JR Ridge on November 5, 2022 at BKFC-32.
Fighting in the light heavyweight division, Francesco Ricchi, (5-1), of Fort Lauderdale, FL faces off against Eric ‘El Travieso, Lozano, (0-1) of Zeeland, MI. The hard punching Ricchi will look to bounce back into the win column following his first BKFC defeat to David Mundell at BKFC-34 on December 3, 2022. The upset minded Lozano makes his long-awaited return after a hotly contested clash with current two-division world champion Lorenzo Hunt at BKFC-12. Moving up in weight for this fight, Ricchi is the #1 ranked middleweight.
Popular, #4 ranked featherweight Howard Davis, (2-1-1), of Plantation, FL moves up to lightweight for his contest with BKFC debuting Trevor ‘The Monster’ Morris of Michigan. Davis seeks a return to the win column after his first bare-knuckle loss to top rated contender Louie Lopez at BKFC-34. Morris holds a record of 5-2 in regional MMA fights.
Bantamweights will see action at BKFC-38 with debuting Justin Sanchez, of Boca Raton, FL facing Gilberto ‘El Azteca’ Aguilar, (0-2), of Mexico City, Mexico. Sanchez is 1-0 as a professional boxer while Aguilar returns to the promotion after fighting on BKFC-4: USA vs. Mexico.
Gee ‘The Cutman’ Perez, (1-0), fights for the second time in the BKFC ring against Josh Richey, (0-2) in a bantamweight battle. Perez won his first bare-knuckle fight with a first-round knockout of Rob Fuller at BKFC-34.
In the cruiserweight division, Stephen ‘Tomahawk’ Townsel, (2-2), of Fort Pierce, FL clashes with veteran Chris ‘Golden Gloves’ Sarro, (2-3). On June 24, 2022 at BKFC-26, Townsel stopped Idrees Wasi in the fourth round. Sarro returns after a loss via doctor’s stoppage to former world title challenger Quentin Henry on January 29, 2022 at BKFC Fight Night Jackson.
Fighting in the featherweight division, Freddy Masabo, (2-0), of Miami, FL battles BKFC debuting Bovar ‘The Gladiator’ Khanakov, of Mariupol, Ukraine. Masabo has scored two early stoppages under the BKFC banner; Shawn Moffet in the first round at BKFC-35 and Will Shutt in the second round at BKFC-26. Khanakov is 1-0 in regional bare-knuckle contests.
Welterweight Rene ‘White Boy’ Rodriguez, (3-2), of Tampa, FL faces off against BKFC debuting Mark Johnson of Montana. Rodriguez looks to stay in the win column after a first-round knockout of Jake Young at BKFC-34.
In a battle of bantamweight newcomers, Chris Garcia of Florida clashes with Phillip Ryan Carroll of Williamstown, West Virginia.

A longtime resident of Vero Beach, FL, the fan-favorite Vietnamese born Dat Nguyen, (3-1), won the BKFC Bantamweight World Title by defeating Champion Johnny Bedford in an outstanding fight at the first KnuckleMania event on February 5, 2021. The all-action Nguyen battled current BKFC Double Champ Luis Palomino at BKFC-22 on November 12, 2021, valiantly losing a hotly contested decision in a sensational two-way battle. Nguyen also holds wins against Abdiel Velazquez and Travis Thompson under the BKFC banner.
Following an acclaimed run in Bellator, Daniel Straus made huge news in the international combat sports world by signing with BKFC in February 2023. He compiled an overall MMA record of 26 wins and ten losses including victories over Patricio Pitbull, Henry Corrales, Marlon Sandro and Pat Curran. His Bellator Featherweight World Title victory over Patricio Pitbull was voted MMA Junkie’s Fight of the Month. The fight against Nguyen is his first under the BKFC banner.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) is the first promotion allowed to hold a legal, sanctioned, and regulated bare knuckle event in the United States since 1889.
