Steve Herelius is a French boxer and bare-knuckle fighter living in Miami, Florida. His storied boxing career began professionally in 2002 and he went on an absolute tear with 14 straight victories, mostly by knockout. During that undefeated run, he won and defended twice, the French heavyweight title.
After meeting a bit of resistance for the first time in 2007, Herelius went on to win a series of WBA cruiserweight titles, both interim and inter-continental and for that reason, he calls himself a “champion of France.” His boxing career formally ended in 2013 after reaching a record of 21-5-1 with 12 knockout wins.
Once Herelius stepped into the Squared, he was almost required to face a high level of competition with his boxing resume. He defeated Juan Torres via split decision and then went on to lose against Josh Copeland. Herelius made his return to the Squared Circle against the rapidly rising prospect and what many deem the most dangerous man in the heavyweight division, Leonardo Perdomo.
