"King" Kai Stewart is just warming up after latest historic title defense

April 9, 2025

The champ has big goals for 2025

What can even be said about Kai Stewart at this point?

On Saturday, in arguably his most polished outing yet, the dynamic Great Falls, MT product defended his BKFC World Featherweight Championship for the fourth time against the previously unbeaten Tommy Strydom at BKFC 72. The action-packed bout served as the Main Event of BKFC’s ground-breaking, two-night premiere in Dubai, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App.

It’s not often that the larger-than-life Stewart is speechless.

“What do you even say at this point,” the undefeated Stewart ponders after returning to the United States.

“All I can say is that I’m truly the King of BKFC,” he adds after a pause. “I’m proving that I know this sport better than anybody else on this planet, and we’re leading the way into totally uncharted territory.”

“I’m pretty speechless after this one because everything is working. Everything is working.”

The 24-year-old Stewart is the only World Champion that the stacked BKFC featherweight division has ever known. It’s to be determined, he says, if his next fight will be a fifth title defense at 145 pounds.

One thing is clear — Stewart is just warming up.

“The job isn’t nearly done,” he says.

“I’m not sure what’s next for me. I’m open to anything that will push my career and the organization forward, and I trust that BKFC is going to deliver me a really exciting new opportunity and an equally exciting paycheck for my efforts.”
