Zach Calmus knows what fans want, and he’s more than happy to deliver.
“Putting on an entertaining show is the most important thing,” the shaggy-haired, heavy-handed New Englander says.
“What is a fight without a show? It’s not something that people pay to see. People pay for the show, and that’s what I want to provide every time I step into the Squared Circle.”
That’s always been the mentality of Calmus, who dons a Jason Voorhees-inspired goalie mask to the Squared Circle. The hard-charging heavyweight says he feels like a rockstar and a gunslinging cowboy when it’s time to rumble, so that’s why he’s never in a boring fight.
He’s hoping that trend continues Friday when he takes on the debuting Mikey Furnier at BKFC 39 in Norfolk, VA, LIVE on The BKFC App.
Calmus has been training hard for this fight, so his expectations are high. He refrained from making any predictions regarding the outcome, but one thing is certain.
“I’m a showman," he says with a smile, "so fans can expect a show.”
