Sean Wilson is back – for now.
Wilson previously stated he doesn’t see himself having too many more fights under the BKFC banner, but here he is preparing for his fourth trip to the Squared Circle at BKFC 43 on May 19 in Omaha, NE, LIVE on The BKFC App.
“Initially I just wanted to have one bare knuckle fight. It ended up going pretty well, so I took another one. It pays well and it’s in town, so it makes sense for me. Here we are preparing for another one,” says Wilson, who tries to improve to 3-1 with another KO against Brandon Meyer (1-0, 1 KO) at BKFC 43.
Wilson is coming off his first defeat in bare knuckle fighting – a second-round stoppage loss to Kevin Croom at BKFC 33 in November. He admits he wasn’t as focused as he should’ve been heading into his most recent bout, but he says the loss lit a fire in him, and he’s now extremely disciplined and motivated to return to the win column at BKFC 43.
Wilson’s plan is to compete three times in 2023, earn three victories, and then leave fighting on his own terms. However, it seems Wilson's plan might be subject to change because he's head over heels for BKFC.
“This sport keeps me motivated, it keeps me in great shape. I just love the sport, and I love how it’s growing. BKFC has treated me great, and it’s going to be great to put on another show for the fans.”
