2025 has been a banner year for Justyn Martinez.
The surging Wichita, KS flyweight has kicked off the year with back-to-back, first-round stoppage victories in as many months.
Martinez’s impressive winning streak comes after a tumultuous start with the organization that saw him go winless in his first five trips to the Squared Circle.
Most recently, Martinez needed just 100 seconds to stop Zay Garcia in their flyweight matchup at BKFC Fight Night: Albuquerque, LIVE worldwide on The BKFC App from the sold-out Kiva Auditorium in Albuquerque, NM.
“I guess I hit a little harder than I thought I did,” he offers with a chuckle.
That may be true, but Martinez never doubted himself during his losing streak.
“This sport is different. It’s raw, it’s real. You can’t compare it to anything,” he says. “Regardless of my results, I knew I just need to get the boxing side of this down. I knew I had the toughness and I have the love for this sport.”
Martinez hopes to add a third straight, first-round finish to his ledger in the not-too-distant future. And he doesn’t plan on stopping there.
“I need three more fights by the end of the year, and all of them (expletive) wins, of course,” he sternly says with a laugh. “I’m ready for anything BKFC has for me.”
