Former champ Francesco Ricchi has big goals for 2023, starting at BKFC 38

March 3, 2023

Francesco Ricchi’s last battle in the BKFC Squared Circle left a “disgusting taste” in his mouth.

In his most recent fight at BKFC 34 in December, he suffered the first loss of his career and relinquished the BKFC World Middleweight Championship to David Mundell.

“I was in really good shape for my last fight, but now I’ve really got something to prove and there’s a fire lit under my (expletive),” Ricchi says.

Ricchi returns to action against Erick Lozano at BKFC 38 on March 17 in Delray Beach, FL, LIVE on The BKFC App.

The Naples-born, Fort Lauderdale, FL product wants to fight at least three times in 2023 and reclaim the BKFC World Middleweight Championship.

He also has a couple other interesting goals for the year.

“Hopefully this year I can cause so much violence that people don’t want to watch BKFC anymore because they don’t have the stomach for it, or they just hand me the (expletive) belt because nobody’s willing to fight me for it.”
