We checked in with some BKFC’s most knowledgeable fighters for their prediction for Friday’s BKFC 48 Main Event, as John “The Magician” Dodson and JR “The Lion” Ridge clash for the inaugural BKFC World Flyweight Championship in Albuquerque, NM, LIVE on The BKFC App.

Doug “ColdRed” Coltrane: Dodson is a little different. No disrespect, but I don’t see Ridge making it out of the first round.

Howard “HD” Davis: I got JR Ridge edging it at the end of a tough fight. John hasn't been to deep waters yet; JR takes him there.

Blake “Big Boy” LaCaze: This is a very interesting matchup with a clash of styles for the BKFC Flyweight Championship. I pick Dodson, with his hyperactive style. 

Michael Larrimore: I am very much looking forward to the Ridge-Dodson bout myself! Having watched John Dodson growing up, and knowing JR personally and knowing the skills he possesses, promises for fight of the night every time! I’d watch these guys fight five times. With that being said, I think JR will use his tight defense and sharp skills on the inside to get the nod on a UD!

Josh “Danger” Marer: John Dodson versus JR Ridge will be an entertaining, fast-pace flyweight bout. “The Magician” is unbelievably fast with excellent footwork, combos and top-tier fight IQ. JR Ridge is extremely tough and has unbelievable power for a flyweight. If he catches John Dodson, then it could put Dodson on his back foot. But I really think that “The Magician” will do his thing and overwhelm Ridge with his footwork and hand speed and break him down. Keep your eyes peeled! The finish could happen at any point and it will be fast.

Keith “The Rockstar” Richardson: Dodson versus Ridge is an easy pick for me. Got to go with my boy John Dodson. Just a great dude that has been nothing but impressive since he’s stepped on the scene. His ability to burst in with high volume and hard shots has been ending fights. This will definitely be his toughest test, so I’m looking forward to watching him work!

Esteban "Mohawk" Rodriguez: Dodson with his animosity will dominate.

Sydney “Sundance” Smith: I think Dodson is going to take the title, even if it isn’t in the first round this fight. 

Jared “Captain Deadpool” Warren: I’m pulling for my FL boy Ridge. He’s going to have his hands full with Dodson’s speed, but I’d love to see him get the win.
