Michael Manno wants to be a regular in the BKFC Squared Circle.
After his first-round finish over Frankie Shugart at BKFC 36, the 27-year-old Shreveport, LA fighter returns to action against fan-favorite Marcus Edwards at BKFC 50 on Sept. 22 in Denver, LIVE on The BKFC App.
“After my fight, I told BKFC that I’d be ready to smash somebody else whenever they’re ready,” Manno says. “Sure enough I got a message from them saying they’ve got somebody for me, and here I am.”
Manno predicts the good times will keep rolling with another stoppage victory added to his resume in Denver.
Manno says what separates him from other fighters – like Edwards – is his studious approach to hand-to-hand combat.
“I study the sport of boxing – I’m really on point with the mechanics of the sport. I saw (Edwards’) first fight and he was off balance, he was taking hits and getting wobbled. It’s a night-and-day difference between us.
“You’ll see that I’m the superior boxer.”
Manno’s goal with BKFC is simple – keep answering the call from Matchmaker Nate Shook.
“I’m down with whatever BKFC wants – I’m game for whatever,” he says. “I’m just going to keep winning and moving up the ladder.”
