Justin Ibarrola has two words to describe his breakout 2024 campaign in the BKFC Squared Circle.
“Patience and dominance.”
The 26-year-old Boca Raton, FL product fought four times for BKFC in 2024. He went 4-for-4 with a trio of stoppage victories, making him a perfect 6-0 entering 2025.
“We’re getting through every fight one at a time and doing our best to dominate every time we go out there, all while not necessarily rushing anything,” he says.
“We’re staying patient and dominant.”
On Thursday, the unbeaten Ibarrola will share the Squared Circle with Abdiel Velazquez at BKFC 70 under the bright lights of the famed Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, LIVE globally on DAZN.
Ibarrola is expecting the toughest challenge of his career this week, but he’s dialed in to rise to the occasion.
“This is the first time that I can confidently predict my fight, and I think it’ll be over in the first round. Everybody knows me as a calculated fighter, but I’ve got a lot of power behind my punches now and I’m excited to show that off,” he says.
“He likes to come for the knockout, but that’s going to be used against him because I’m going to catch him when he tries to be overly aggressive with me.”
As big as 2024 was for Ibarrola, he says the next 12 months will put that to shame.
“I’ll be the BKFC World Champion,” he says when asked where he’d like to be entering 2026. “I’ll have the most impressive undefeated record, I’ll be getting paid more, and I’ll be fighting the biggest stars in the sport.
“I’m going to give BKFC fans something to talk about.”
