Jared “Captain Deadpool” Warren is heading into enemy territory.
At BKFC 55 on Nov. 18, he’ll do battle with undefeated British contender Danny Christie (3-0, 3 KOs) in Leeds, England, LIVE on The BKFC App.
The British are some of the most passionate fans of bare knuckle fighting. And Christie, the No. 2 contender in BKFC’s stacked light-heavyweight division, is the United Kingdom’s highest ranked fighter.
Is “Captain Deadpool” worried?
“Not at all,” the Tampa, FL fighter says with a laugh.
“Typically the crowd will be rooting for their guy, which I totally understand and expect. But usually by the time the fight has ended, they’re super welcoming and more than happy to show you a good time in their country.”
Warren has only been to England once before, and it was only a stopover en route to France and Italy. He wishes he had a bit more time to experience the United Kingdom this November, but he knows this is a business trip. And Warren’s agenda is clear – bring home his sixth BKFC victory to give him the next shot at the BKFC World Light-Heavyweight Championship.
“A big win should solidify that I’m next in line for a title.”
