The stakes have never been higher for Zion Tomlinson.
On Saturday, he returns to the BKFC Squared Circle to take on Joshua Moreno at BKFC 28 in Albuquerque, NM, LIVE on the BKFC app. If Tomlinson doesn’t win on the weekend, he says he’s leaving the world of bare knuckle fighting and returning to MMA.
“My career is on the line, really. If I lose, I’m walking away from the sport, so it’s do-or-die time now,” the 22-year-old Roanoke, VA middleweight said.
At one point, Tomlinson was the youngest fighter on the BKFC roster. He started his bare knuckle career with back-to-back victories, but he’s since dropped two straight fights.
There’s much on the line this weekend, but Tomlinson says he doesn’t feel any extra pressure heading into Saturday’s action at Rio Rancho Events Center.
“It’s just a matter of going out there and executing like I have in the past. I just have to go out there and fight,” Tomlinson said.
“I don’t see myself losing this fight.”
