Dylan Schulte waited 20 months for 32-second KO in Denver

Dylan Schulte waited a long time for a short fight.

On Friday, Schulte emphatically ended his 20-month hiatus from the Squared Circle with a 32-second TKO victory over Roberto Armas in their featherweight matchup at the sold-out National Western Center in Schulte’s hometown of Denver.

“I was expecting to land punches, but the right ones landed early,” says Schulte, who’s now 2-1 under the BKFC banner.

“I was ready for a war. When it landed, I wasn’t surprised and I’m not going to complain, but in a way it was a bit anticlimactic.”

Schulte, 28, is hoping to be a lot more active moving forward, and he wants to test his skills with the best of the best in BKFC’s stacked 145-pound weight class. An intriguing idea is a rematch with Louie Lopez, who defeated Schulte at BKFC 29.

“If I’m going to do this, I want to be the best,” he says. “The BKFC World Featherweight Championship is my goal, and I’ll fight whoever gets me closer to the belt.”
