Dillon "The Dog" Winemiller hunts for 3rd straight finish at BKFC 50

Dillon “The Dog” Winemiller is still wagging his tail from his last big win.

At BKFC 45 in June, the 30-year-old Jonesboro, AR product improved to 2-1 in the Squared Circle with a second-round stoppage victory over fan-favorite Steve Townsel.

“I thought it was huge for my career. Townsel is a true vet and somebody that I really respect,” Winemiller says. “I think that was more than a stepping-stone fight; I think it really proved that I belong in the BKFC cruiserweight division.”

Winemiller’s victory over Townsel was his second straight win after needing just seven seconds to stop Matthew Maestas at BKFC 41 in April. Now, he looks to extend his unbeaten streak to three at the expense of Keegan Vandermeer (1-0, 1 KO) when they clash at BKFC 50 on Sept. 22 in Vandermeer’s hometown of Denver, LIVE on The BKFC App.

Of course Winemiller is pleased with his winning streak, but it doesn’t take any pressure off his shoulders when it’s time to enter the Squared Circle.

“I don’t think you really carry any momentum from fight to fight, to be honest,” he says. “This is a new opponent and I’m taking him seriously, so it’s a new day.”

Winemiller predicts Vandermeer won’t see the third round in Denver. He hopes another big win paves the way for a breakout 2024 campaign with BKFC, the world’s fastest growing combat sports promotion.

“Hopefully I’m in the title picture after this one. I’d really just like to stay active, keep winning, and have a title shot within the next 12 months.”
