Dakota Cochrane was gone in 56 seconds at BKFC 43

May 23, 2023

Dakota Cochrane loves when a plan comes together – and that’s exactly what happened at BKFC 43 on Friday.

In the Co-Main Event of the evening, Cochrane needed just 56 seconds to dispatch opponent Noah Cutter in their highly anticipated middleweight showdown.

“We drew up a game plan and it happened exactly how we planned it. Obviously that doesn’t happen very often, but that’s exactly what happened on Friday,” Cochrane says.

Cochrane’s one-punch KO had many observers calling it a contender for Knockout-of-the-Year honors in the BKFC Squared Circle. It’s a nice thought, Cochrane says, but he doesn’t necessarily agree with that assertion.

“I don’t think so,” he says with a laugh. “Hopefully I can get another one to top that.”

Cochrane now has back-to-back stoppage victories, and he’s eager to keep his momentum rolling against the best fighters that the stacked BKFC middleweight division has to offer.

“I don’t have a specific opponent in mind, but I’d like to fight either the winner or loser of the David Mundell-Mike Richman fight at BKFC 47,” he says.

“I’d love to challenge for the belt.”
