Christine “Misfit” Ferea added to her unparalleled resume at BKFC 41.
With her second-round stoppage victory over Bec Rawlings, Ferea improved to 7-1 in the Squared Circle, tying her with Britain Hart for most victories all time among female fighters. Ferea is the owner of the longest winning streak in BKFC history among female fighters (six), and no female fighter has more stoppage victories than Ferea’s six.
Ferea has been one of bare knuckle fighting’s biggest stars since debuting with the organization at BKFC 3 in 2018, so it’s fitting she rose to the occasion on the biggest event in the promotion’s history.
“I’m extremely excited for my position, and having the opportunity to shine on the biggest platform,” Ferea says after her historic win in Denver. “BKFC has come so far. It was great to fight alongside the legends of combat sports. It’s a surreal feeling and I’m extremely grateful.”
Ferea isn’t sure what the future holds for her with BKFC, but one thing is certain – she’ll continue making history.
“You never know,” Ferea says when asked what’s next.
“I may go to a different weight class to be a multiple title holder, which would be the first in history for females.”
Ferea has much to accomplish still under the BKFC banner, but her goals are simple when asked about her legacy in the Squared Circle.
“I want to be remembered as a pioneer of the sport, and one of the best athletes and fighters that ever stepped foot in the Squared Circle,” she says. “I also want to be an example to the youth for how to be disciplined and work hard, no matter what odds are against you, and succeed.”
