The champ Lorenzo “The Juggernaut” Hunt (10-1) and challenger Chris Camozzi (2-0) clash for the BKFC World Cruiserweight Championship on Friday in the Main Event of BKFC 50 in Denver, LIVE on The BKFC App. As we continue our countdown to the big night, we asked some of the most knowledgeable fighters on the BKFC roster for their predictions.
James “Get Down” Brown: Man, this is about to be a slugfest. Camozzi has the fight experience over Hunt and is a southpaw, so automatically I want to go with him. He's only been stopped with strikes once, I believe. Hunt is a huge obstacle though. He's tough and he hits like a charging rhino carrying cinder blocks. This is a tough pick for me but I'm going to bet on black and go with Lorenzo Hunt.
Zach “Shark Attack” Calmus: Chris Camozzi has a decorated combat sports record, but I just don’t know if it’s enough to compete against the power, speed and bare knuckle experience of the champ.
Doug “ColdRed” Coltrane: Going for the champ on this one. Love him or hate him, he’s doing big things for the sport. Camozzi is tough, but I think the champ takes it in three.
Howard “HD” Davis: Chris is a true vet. Respect to him with all his experience, but bare knuckle is “The Juggernaut”’s world. Fourth-round KO by Hunt.
Blake “Big Boy” LaCaze: I pick Hunt in this matchup. Too much bare knuckle experience favors him in this. However, Camozzi is a big man and a hard hitter himself. Expect fireworks early!
JR “The Lion” Ridge: Tough one – I like both fighters and both are bangers. Hunt seems pretty unstoppable at the moment, so I’ll have to go with Hunt on this one. Don’t count Chris out though. With his size and length, if he plays the long game, he can stop Hunt’s pressure.
Esteban “Mohawk” Rodriguez: Lorenzo is no doubt gonna overcome Camozzi with his dirty boxing and pressure.
Jared “Captain Deadpool” Warren: I think Camozzi is going to pull the upset. Mike Richman exposed some holes in Hunt’s game last fight, so if Camozzi can capitalize on those holes, I think he gets the W.
