Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 50 goes down Friday in Denver under the bright lights at 1stBank Center, LIVE on The BKFC App. As always, there’s no shortage of exciting storylines heading into fight night. Here are three of our favorites.
Headliner For The History Books
Friday’s Main Event sees Lorenzo “The Juggernaut” Hunt (10-1, 9 KOs) defending his BKFC World Cruiserweight Championship against fast-rising hometown favorite Chris Camozzi (2-0, 2 KOs). Hunt’s body of work is unparalleled. A win on fight night will be his 10th under the BKFC banner, making him the winningest fighter in the organization’s history. He already has more stoppage victories (seven) than any other fighter in BKFC history. A win will be his ninth straight, tying him for the longest winning streak in BKFC history. Hunt is undoubtedly one of the greatest of all time – and standing in his way is arguably his toughest opponent. Camozzi is unbeaten in his first two spotless trips to the Squared Circle. The 20-time UFC vet is hunting for his third straight first-round finish. The Mile High City crowd will be backing the proud Colorado fighter in full force as he tries to dethrone the legendary Hunt.
Don’t Blink During The Co-Main Event
Nothing gets fans more excited than a big-time heavyweight showdown, and that’s exactly what’s in store for Friday’s Co-Main Event. Colorado’s own Josh "Cuddly Bear" Copeland (1-1, 1 KO) locks horns with heavy-handed Frenchman Steve Herelius (1-0) in a battle of big-time heavyweight contenders. The UFC vet Copeland’s MMA record includes six wins by KO, and he wants to add another stoppage to his resume on Friday against the former World Boxing Association champ Herelius, who’s pro boxing record is 21-5-1 with 12 big KOs.
Full Night Of Action In Denver
Rankings implications are on the line in Friday’s Feature Fight when fast-rising middleweight prospects Marcus "Bad Intentions" Edwards and Michael Manno throw hands. Edwards and Manno are both riding high after jaw-dropping, first-round stoppages earlier this year in their Squared Circle debuts. Friday's must-see action also features the return of a number of BKFC fan-favorites, like lightweight Andrew Angelcor (2-0-1, 1 KO), lightweight Tony “The Way” Jenkins (2-0, 2 KOs), cruiserweight Dillon “The Dog” Winemiller (2-1, 2 KOs), bantamweight Khortni “The Head Hunter” Kamyron (1-0-1), cruiserweight Keegan Vandermeer (1-0, 1 KO), welterweight Andrew “The Golden Boy” Yates (1-0, 1 KO) and welterweight Christian “The Terminator” Torres (2-4, 1 KO).
