Four fighters ranked in the Top 5 of their respective weight classes return to action Friday at Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 43, LIVE on The BKFC App from Liberty First Arena in Omaha, NE.
x Elvin “El Bandido” Brito, the No. 1 contender in the welterweight division, takes on the unbeaten Carlos Trinidad-Snake. The former BKFC World Welterweight Champion lost his most recent fight to Luis “Baboon” Palomino (8-0), the No. 1-ranked Pound-for-Pound fighter, but prior to that Brito had won four straight. He brings a 5-3 record into battle against the fast-rising Trinidad-Snake, who’s 3-0 after his first three trips to the BKFC Squared Circle. Trinidad-Snake is looking to crack the Top 5 rankings with a third KO.
x Taylor “Killa Bee” Starling, the No. 2 contender in the women’s flyweight division, takes on top Canadian prospect Jade “Evil Smile” Wong. Starling is coming off the first loss of her career – a first-round stoppage at the hands of Christine “Misfit” Ferea in the Main Event of BKFC 28 – after starting her BKFC tenure with three straight victories. Wong is 1-1 and going for her second knockout victory.
x Houston “The Assassin” Alexander, the No. 3 contender in the cruiserweight division, meets Jeremy “Pitbull” Smith, the No. 4 contender in the cruiserweight division, in Friday’s Main Event. Serious title implications are on the line as the winner of this fight could be next in line for a shot at reigning BKFC World Cruiserweight Champion Lorenzo “The Juggernaut” Hunt (9-1). Alexander, a six-time UFC vet, is undefeated in his first three trips to the BKFC Squared Circle, with all of his wins coming by KO. Smith, who was formerly an MMA champion in his native South Africa, is also riding high with three straight wins. He tries to climb to 4-1 with a third KO.
