“Big” Ben Rothwell has only one thing on his mind – the BKFC World Heavyweight Championship.

“Big” Ben Rothwell has only one thing on his mind – the BKFC World Heavyweight Championship.

Rothwell improved to 2-0 on Saturday with a third-round TKO victory over fellow UFC vet Josh Copeland at BKFC 41 in Denver. At center stage in front of the sold-out crowd at 1stBANK Center, Rothwell called for the next shot at Alan “The Talent” Belcher, the undefeated BKFC Heavyweight Champ, before the millions of fans watching around the world.

“I don’t feel like the champ is too receptive to fighting me. He was kind of acting like a weirdo at the time. He’s definitely not the guy I thought he was,” says Rothwell, who fought 17 times for the UFC before signing with BKFC last year.

Rothwell’s prediction for a possible showdown with Belcher is pretty simple – and a little scary coming from the heavy-handed Kenosha, WI product.

“It’s not going to be pretty for him, I’m going to tell you that,” Rothwell says. “He’s made this personal, and I’m going to make sure that I’m his last BKFC fight.”
