Top 3 storylines heading into BKFC Fight Night Fort Lauderdale

April 15, 2022

There’s no shortage of intrigue heading into Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship Fight Night Fort Lauderdale on April 21 under the bright lights at Charles F. Dodge City Center.

Here are the Top 3 storylines heading into the event, which can be streamed LIVE on BKTV.

1. Two of the top heavyweight bare knuckle boxers on the planet square off in the Main Event, as former champ Joey “The Mexicutioner” Beltran (5-2-1) tries to get back in the win column against Frank Tate (1-1-1) after losing the belt to Arnold Adams in his most recent bout. Beltran is hungry to earn a shot at reclaiming the most prized title in bare knuckle boxing, while Tate is ready to land big shots and stake his claim as a top contender for the belt with a big victory over an established superstar like “The Mexicutioner.”

2. In the Co-Main Event, undefeated Welsh standout James “Lights Out” Lilley makes his hotly anticipated BKFC debut against fast-rising American Adam Pellerano. “Lights Out” has established himself as one of Europe’s top bare knuckle prospects as he tries to climb to 5-0-1 in his Squared Circle debut. Pellerano, meanwhile, is 3-1 on the strength of back-to-back wins at BKFC, so he’s nobody’s stepping stone.

3. Fight Night Fort Lauderdale also includes a number of top prospect matchups, including Howard Davis (1-0) against Josh Wright (0-1) in the featherweight division, a lightweight clash between Tom Shoaff (3-3) and Bruce Lutchmedial (1-1) and a meeting of promising debuting light-heavyweights Gerardo Delgado and Leonel Carerra.
