The most anticipated date on the BKFC calendar takes place this week; KnuckleMania 3 goes down Friday in Albuquerque, NM, LIVE on The BKFC App. As always, there’s no shortage of intrigue heading into this annual epic event. Here are our Top 3 storylines heading into this weekend’s action.
It Doesn’t Get Any Bigger Than The Main Event
Two of the most feared bare knuckle fighters on the planet collide in Friday’s Main Event, as defending BKFC World Light-Heavyweight Champion Lorenzo “The Juggernaut” Hunt (8-1, 7 KOs) meets BKFC World Interim Light-Heavyweight Champion Mike “The Marine” Richman (4-0, 4 KOs) in the most anticipated title unification bout in BKFC history. There’s no love lost between these two icons of bare knuckle fighting, and neither have backed down an inch in their impressive combat sports careers. On Friday, fans around the world will know once and for all who is the baddest light-heavyweight in the sport.
Fighting Legends Drop Their Gloves In The Co-Main Event
UFC legend Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez and five-time WBA boxing champion Austin “No Doubt” Trout throw down in Friday’s hugely anticipated Co-Main Event. Serious rankings implications are on the line in this can’t-miss welterweight showdown. Major bragging rights are also on the line, as both fighters have proudly represented New Mexico on the global combat sports stage for well over a decade.
Nothing Beats KnuckleMania
KnuckleMania is the most anticipated annual event on the BKFC calendar, and the third installment is raising the bar once again. Friday’s Main Event and Co-Main Event have fans around the world buzzing for this weekend, but KnuckleMania is loaded with other bouts that could easily serve as headline fights for BKFC cards. After turning heads with a 40-second KO in his BKFC debut, former UFC title challenger John “The Magician” Dodson (1-0, 1 KO) takes a big step up in competition against former BKFC World Bantamweight Champion Jarod “Kid Gatti” Grant (5-1, 4 KOs) in the Feature Fight in the flyweight division. Sanchez and Dodson are joined by a pair of other UFC vets on KnuckleMania 3 – debuting heavyweight Greg “The Prince of War” Hardy Jr. and fast-rising lightweight Kevin “Crash” Croom (1-0, 1 KO). Hardy, a former All Star defensive lineman with the NFL’s Dallas Cowboys, makes his highly anticipated BKFC debut against Josh Watson (1-1, 1 KO), who’s eager to add Hardy’s name to his resume. Croom, meanwhile, looks to improve to 2-0 against Chevvy Bridges (1-1, 1 KO).
