Top 3 storylines for BKFC 44 on Friday

June 9, 2023

BKFC 44 goes down Friday in Great Falls, MT on The BKFC App. There’s no shortage of exciting storylines heading into this weekend’s action.

Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship 44 goes down Friday in Great Falls, MT, LIVE on The BKFC App. As always, there’s no shortage of exciting storylines heading into this weekend’s action. Here are three of our favorites as we count down the seconds to BKFC’s fourth action-packed event in Montana.

BKFC’s Best Featherweights Make History

The inaugural BKFC World Featherweight Championship is on the line in the Main Event, and there’s no more worthy challengers for the throne than No. 1 contender Kai Stewart and No. 2 contender Louie Lopez. It’s no secret that these two Great Falls fighters aren’t friends, and both men have the skills and tenacity to put on a title bout for the ages on Friday. Stewart, a former high school state wrestling champ in Montana, is undefeated in his first three BKFC fights, with two of those wins by KO. Lopez’s 3-1 record includes three finishes. Both fighters insist the judges won’t be necessary for this long-awaited grudge match.

Fireworks In The Co-Main Event

It’s unlikely the judges will be needed for Friday’s Co-Main Event showdown between hard-hitting Montana welterweights Dallas Davison and Lloyd Mix either. Davison is 2-1 under the BKFC banner, with both of his wins coming by stoppage. Mix, a five-time Bellator MMA vet who’s mixed it up with the likes of Michael Chandler, is still riding high after scoring a 14-second KO victory in his BKFC debut.

Can’t-Miss Feature Fight

The Main Event and Co-Main Event are getting the lion’s share of the fans’ attention heading into Friday’s event, but BKFC 44’s Feature Fight might just steal the whole show. With possible Top 5 welterweight ranking implications at play, Billy Wagner looks to improve to 4-0 against his toughest task yet, the extremely dangerous Bryce Henry (1-0). All of Wagner’s wins have been by finish, and Henry is coming off a KO in his debut. These two 165-pound contenders also have extensive pro boxing experience – Henry is 6-0 and Wagner is 5-3.
