Another Historic Main Event
Through the first 50 events in BKFC history, many fans view Luis “Baboon” Palomino as the most dominant fighter to grace the Squared Circle. The numbers speak for themselves. Palomino is 7-0 and has long sat atop the BKFC Pound-for-Pound rankings. He’s also the longtime BKFC World Lightweight Champion, and added to his legacy by moving up in weight and winning the BKFC World Welterweight Championship in his most recent fight. On Saturday, he can become the first man to defend a BKFC World Championship five times as he puts his Lightweight Title on the line against his toughest challenge yet, Tom “A Gentleman of Violence” Shoaff. A successful MMA fighter before transitioning to bare knuckle fighting, Shoaff is 4-3 in BKFC. Although it admittedly took him a couple tries to get his footing in the Squared Circle, Shoaff has nevertheless established himself as one of the sport’s most game and dangerous fighters. He’ll be hunting for his fourth straight knockout victory against Palomino.
Middleweight Gold On The Line
In Saturday’s highly anticipated Co-Main Event, the unbeaten Francesco Ricchi defends his BKFC World Middleweight Championship for the first time against challenger David “Redneck” Mundell. Both heavy-handed fighters have left a path of destruction in their wake to this title bout. Ricchi’s record is perfect at 5-0 and Mundell is 5-1 with three straight victories. Four of Ricchi’s wins have come by knockout, while Mundell is headhunting for his fourth stoppage victory in the BKFC Squared Circle.
