Roberto Armas was a man on a mission at BKFC 35

January 30, 2023

Roberto Armas was a man on a mission Friday at BKFC 35.

The 34-year-old Charleston, SC bantamweight wasn’t just aiming for his first BKFC victory after falling short in his debut – he had a point to prove.

“That fight was very important,” Armas says.

“They say you’re only as good as your wins, so I went in there with the mentality that I didn’t just want to win – I wanted to show that I can box, I have power and I’m not reckless.”

Armas’ mission was a success. He needed just 70 seconds to take out Jakobi Lowry in their matchup in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Armas is hungry to return to the BKFC Squared Circle, but he says he doesn’t have any particular opponents in mind.

“I really don’t care who they put me in there with – I just like fighting,” Armas says. “Whoever they want to put me in there with, I’ll be there to fight them in the middle of the ring. I’m not here to point fight anybody.”
