Kaleb Harris excited to enter enemy territory at BKFC 46 in England

Kaleb Harris has always wanted to see England, and he’ll have his chance this summer when he visits Newcastle.

He’s excited to be overseas, but this is first and foremost a business trip for the 29-year-old Pearl, MS fighter. He battles Rico Franco (8-2) in the Main Event of BKFC 46 on July 1, LIVE on The BKFC App.

“I’ve always wanted to go to England, and I always told my parents back in the day that if I was going to travel the world, it was going to be because of fighting,” Harris says. “I’m living the dream. I get to go out there and fight a really tough dude in Rico Franco, and I can’t wait to put him out.”

Some fighters might be nervous to enter “enemy territory” to compete, but Harris relishes the opportunity to test his skills against the United Kingdom’s top welterweight in his own backyard.

“I’ve always told y’all that I’m a viking warrior; I’m going over to new lands, and I’m conquering them,” he says with a laugh. “I’m going to put him out in four rounds.”

Harris (6-4) hopes an impressive win puts him next in line for a shot at BKFC World Welterweight Champion Luis “Baboon” Palomino (8-0).

“If BKFC doesn’t deem me ready for a shot at the 165-pound belt, I really don’t know who else they can put in front of me,” says Harris, who’s riding high after back-to-back stoppage victories.

“I’m literally running out of people to take out.”
