Dimitri Angelini is a true gladiator – and he comes by that naturally.

Angelini hails from Verona, Italy. The center of the northern Italian city was once a Roman military settlement. At one time, the historic Verona Arena hosted gladiator games that brought in spectators from across the region. 

Known as “The Modern Gladiator,” Angelini is preparing for his second fight in the BKFC Squared Circle at BKFC 39 on March 24 in Norfolk, VA, LIVE on The BKFC App. He takes on the debuting Will Worley in welterweight action.

Angelini splits his time between Italy and Virginia Beach, VA, where he’s currently preparing for battle. He may be 5,000 miles away from Verona Arena and the Colosseum in Rome, but Angelini feels right at home in the famed BKFC Squared Circle.

“I’d like to be remembered as a gladiator who never stepped back and always fought with honor,” Angelini says. “It’s my dream to bring BKFC to Italy, maybe in the Arena where gladiators fought 2000 years ago.”
