It’s important to celebrate your accomplishments – just ask Chris Garcia.
At BKFC 45 on Friday, he smashed his way to 2-0 in the Squared Circle with a second straight stoppage victory under the bright lights of Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL.
That’s now back-to-back finishes in just over two months for the fast-rising Garcia, so following Friday’s victory he did what many legendary fighters have done before him – he went to Denny’s.
“Two milkshakes, a burger – I went a little crazy,” the 23-year-old bantamweight admits with a laugh.
Bare knuckle fighting seems to come easy for Garcia, but he admits dieting in the lead-up to a fight is not a part of the sport that he enjoys.
“It’s hard, but it’s most definitely worth it,” the Clewiston, FL fighter says.
Garcia is quickly establishing himself as a prospect to watch in the BKFC Squared Circle. He has a bright future ahead of him, but he isn’t necessarily in a rush.
“I just want to work my way up. I know one day a title shot will come, but I’m not rushing – it’s God’s plan,” he says.
“I love it here,” he adds. “This is my home.”
