Brandon "Superman" Allen flying high after BKFC 47

Brandon “Superman” Allen is flying high after BKFC 47

Brandon “Superman” Allen is flying high.

On Friday, he earned his fourth straight victory at BKFC 47 in Lakeland, FL with a second-round TKO over the previously unbeaten Seth Shaffer in their featherweight showdown in the Feature Fight of the evening.

That’s now three straight stoppage wins, but Allen is a perfectionist and his own harshest critic, so the 33-year-old Tampa, FL fighter is already back in the gym.

“I’ll be working on some defensive things,” says Allen, who entered Friday’s action the No. 3 contender in the BKFC featherweight division. “I want to be perfect, and that’s what my coach wants, so that’s what I’m trying to do.”

Allen has come a long way since falling to Jordan Nash in his Squared Circle debut at BKFC 19 in 2021. Two years and four victories later, he says he’s just getting started.

“I came into BKFC thinking that this is just a boxing match, but it’s not that. This is a totally different game, a totally different sport,” he says. “Once we dug down into the game and went back into the gym, we started executing our game plans, and I realized that I have what it takes to be a champion.”

Allen hopes he’s done enough to earn the first crack at the newly crowned BKFC World Featherweight Champion Kai Stewart (4-0, 2 KOs). Allen and Stewart are the only two 145-pound fighters on four-fight winning streaks, so he says the fight makes sense.

His prediction for a potential showdown with Stewart?

“I’ll finish him,” Allen says with a big laugh. “I’ll finish him.”
