This weekend it will be clear who is the best featherweight on the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship roster. In the Main Event of Friday’s BKFC 44, No. 1 contender Kai Stewart (3-0, 2 KOs) battles No. 2 contender Louis Lopez for the vacant BKFC World Featherweight Title in Great Falls, MT, LIVE on The BKFC App.
We asked some of the most knowledgeable fighters on the BKFC roster who they’re picking in this must-see matchup.
Zach “Shark Attack” Calmus: I think Louie Lopez will win by KO. It’s gonna be that overhand right that catches Stewart’s chin. I truly believe they are both great fighters, but Lopez will expose defensive flaws in Stewart’s fight style.
Howard “HD” Davis: I think Louie wins it, but Kai can upset him if he's too overconfident and gets caught. I obviously want Louie to win so I can have my revenge, but if Kai wins, then cool – I'll beat him then give Louie a shot.
Devin “Dreamy” Gibson: I think it’ll be a barnburner and I’ve got Louie winning by a close decision.
JR “The Lion” Ridge: Both are scrappers and there’s a reason they’re at the top of their division. Very intriguing fight. Stylistically it will be a very exciting fight to watch. Both want to call Montana their stomping ground. I’m going with Lopez on this one.
Christian “The Terminator” Torres: I for sure am taking Louis. I’ve been watching his stories and he is driven for it. Kai is impressive but I haven't seen anything from him. I know he is with the Jackson Winks camp, but I just feel Louis has more dog in him. It’s a great matchup, though. I can't wait.
Steve “Tomahawk” Townsel: I can’t say who’s coming out on top of this one, but I know the fans get the win on this one. Guns gonna be blazing; this fight won’t go the distance.
Jared “Captain Deadpool” Warren: Hard to pick a clear winner here with both guys having fought mostly newer opponents. Lopez’s upset over Davis was the biggest surprise to me, so with his explosive style I think he wins if he catches Kai early. If it goes the distance, I think Kai has a pretty good gas tank and can win on points.
