BKFC 47 can't come soon enough for Tim Hester

BKFC 47 can’t come soon enough for Tim Hester.

BKFC 47 can’t come soon enough for Tim Hester.

He returns to action at the highly anticipated event on July 14 in Lakeland, FL for the first time since his triumphant BKFC debut in 2022. It’s also Hester’s first fight since the untimely passing of his mother, one of his biggest fans.

“She was my biggest fan,” Hester clarifies with a chuckle. “She was definitely my biggest fan.”

Hester’s mother watched all of her son’s fights from home because emotions can run hot at ringside. He knows she’ll be watching from above on July 14, so he’s ready to put on the performance of a lifetime.

“(Putting on an impressive performance) is a big thing,” he says. “All I’m thinking about is violence – I’m going to rip through him.”

Hester predicts a stoppage victory over opponent Ja'Far Fortt (1-0, 1 KO) in Florida, and the 28-year-old Columbus, GA welterweight contender wants to make a lot more noise in 2023.

“I want to fight three times this year. If they put me on the card, I’m coming to knock them down,” he says.

“I don’t see myself losing to anybody. I want the belt, and everyone is just in the way right now. I’ll get through all of them.”
