BKFC 36's Kaleb Harris is a man on a mission

February 14, 2023

Kaleb "Lionheart" Harris is a man on a mission.

His mission, of course, is to bring the BKFC World Welterweight Championship home to Mississippi in 2023.

The next objective standing in Harris’ way is Brad “Machine Gun” Kelly (3-1). They lock horns at BKFC 36 on Feb. 24 in New Orleans, LIVE on The BKFC App.

There’s been an uptick in intensity for Harris (5-4, 4 KOs) as he prepares for his 10th trip to the BKFC Squared Circle. He’s training three times a day, and at least once or twice on his “rest days.”

“If you wanna do something you’ve never done before, you’ve gotta do things you don’t like doing. I got close to the belt, but I didn’t quite catch it,” he says, referring to his razor-close, split-decision loss to Elvin Brito in early 2022..

“The next time I get that close to the belt, it’s going to be because they’re wrapping it around my waist.”

Harris has a lot of respect for his opponents, including the fast-rising “Machine Gun” Kelly. But that won’t get in the way of his quest for BKFC gold.

“I’m looking to fight three or four times this year,” Harris says, adding, “As I said in my last fight, I’m coming in to lay bodies at the feet of David Feldman, to the point where he has to give me that belt.”
