Brett Williams only needed 61 seconds for his BKFC debut in June.

“The Widowmaker” has been waiting for his return to the BKFC Squared Circle since last summer, so it sounds like he wouldn’t mind a slightly longer fight when he meets Blake LaCaze (0-1) at BKFC 36 on Feb. 24 in New Orleans, LIVE on The BKFC App.

“He’s going to try to do one thing, I’m going to try to do another. Whoever can execute their game plan is going to end up winning the fight,” Williams says. “It’s probably going to be a longer fight; I’m not going to be able to go in there and just steamroll this guy.” 

LaCaze has 20 professional boxing matches under his belt and is hungry to take home his first BKFC victory at the expense of Williams. But “The Widowmaker” has other plans. However, Williams’ plans don’t exactly revolve around racking up accolades and credentials.

“I just want to stay active. I’m a fighting gypsy – people like me are just different,” Williams says. “I don’t care about rankings, I don’t care about titles. I just care about knocking people the (expletive) out and speaking about the importance of mental health, especially in men.”
